I spent the morning at Bempton RSPB reserve in Yorkshire as a White-throated Needletail had been present there till dusk the previous day. Confidence was high to see the bird. However as the first hour of light past, expectation began to drop. News then broke that t
presumably the same bird had relocated to Aberdeenshire. That theory has since been questionedas the bird has reappearedat Filey Brigg this evening. A Barred Warbler at South Landing was little compensation.
