BELVIDE 31.3.24 Overcast E 3

After a sunny start, the low cloud rolled in to give a much colder feel to the day. 2 Ruddy Shelduck dropped in for a short period at 9.30am. The first Common Sandpiper of the year was along the dam wall, also 6 LRP, 1 Curlew and 8 Oystercatcher were present. A Willow Warbler was singing by the Gazebo hide, also at least 40 Chiffchaff and 8 Blackcap on site. A Swallow was present this morning, with only 6 Sand Martin thru. 6 Redwing flew north early morning. 7 Pochard and a drake Goosander flew thru. 2 Red Kite were in the area. A Little Egret was at the west end.

This will be the new home of Belvide Birding. It has been increasingly frustrating for while now, due to the fact I couldn't log on to update the blog on a daily bases. It's a great shame as there is 18 years of data on the original Surfbirds site. If by some chance Surfbirds can get their act together and sort the problem out, then I might go back. Lets see how things go for now.
