A Wood Sandpiper along the south west shore was the first of the year, though there was no further sign after 1.40pm. A Greenshank dropped in at the west end late morning. A Green Sandpiper flew over late morning, also 12 Common Sandpiper were present. 2 Common Tern were present this afternoon. 10 Shelduck, 1 Goldeneye, 9 Pochard 1 Mandarin and 43 Mute Swan were counted. 32 Swift, 100 Sand Martin were noted.
