The Pectoral Sandpiper was found again early afternoon. It was tucked away in the south east bay which was only viewable from the dam. It did return to the shore below the Chappell hide later, where it showed well again. 1 Greenshank, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 LRP, 1 Dunlin, 5 Common Sandpiper and 5 Snipe were present. A juvenile Cuckoo (photo by Steve Roberts) showed well for a short time in front of the Gazebo hide late morning. The Lesser Scaup remains off the dam, also 3 Garganey, 3 Pintail and 205 Shoveler were counted. A Lesser Whitethroat was by the West End Hide. A Hobby and Little Egret were noted.
A great shot of the Pec. in flight, Steve!
