The 3 Black-necked Grebe were back again after going AWOL yesterday. 5 Whimbrel were on the north shore until 4.50pm when they flew off north. Also 3 Common Sandpiper were present. A single drake Garganey was still along the south west shore, also 5 Teal, 7 Shoveler, 12 Pochard and 24 Shelduck were counted. 10 Common Tern, 2 Hobby and Great Egret were noted. Of interest, a Red-veined Darter was in front of the Hawkshutts hide this afternoon.
