8 Great Egret were present, including a colour ringed bird AJT. It was ringed in the nest at Shapwick Heath NR in Somerset on the 18th April 2025.. It was one of a brood of two. It has also been sighted at Slimbridge on the 13th June. It's a female bird, done on DNA analysis. There were also at least 13 Little Egret present. The 2 Lesser Scaup remain with one off the dam and the other at the west end. The Garganey was still at the west end. Waders today, included 3 Greenshank, 1 Redshank, 6 Dunlin, 3 Ringed Plover, 5 LRP, 1 Green Sandpiper, 7 Common Sandpiper and 2 Oystercatcher. A Spotted Flycatcher was behing the Gazebo hide. 2 juvenile Redstart were reported by the dam. A juvenile Wheatear was at the west end. 15 Yellow Wagtail were along the dam this morning. 2 Hobby and a Red Kite were noted. 275 Cormorant were counted.
