A Marsh Harrier flew thru east at 7.45am. The Heron and Egret bonanza continues with a record 51 Grey Heron, also 8 Great Egret and 19 Little Egret. The 2 Lesser Scaup were at the west end also the Garganey remains. Waders today included 4 Greenshank, 1 Redshank, 1 Ruff, 3 Ringed Plover, 5 LRP, 1 Dunlin and 10 Common Sandpiper. 10 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Siskin and 12 Swift flew over. A Whinchat and 4 Stonechat were on Hawkshutts ridge, also a Spotted Flycatcher was near the Gazebo bay. 2 Red Kite, 2 Hobby and a Peregrine were noted. A Ringing session in the west marsh produced 12 Blackcap, 11 Chiffchaff, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler and 1 Lesser Whitethroat.
