An enjoyable day with 75 species recorded on the reserve. The highlight being a Little Stint on the north shore. It did fly off north towards the farm on the A5 and incredibly landed on a barn roof for a minute, before dropping down to feed on a pool presumably. It did return briefly this afternoon, before flying back to the farm. Other highlights included 7 Little Egret departed the north wood roost this morning, also 2 Great Egret flew thru. A juvenile Goshawk raided the north wood, also 2 Peregrine were noted. 8 Goosander, 1 Pintail, 386 Wigeon, 13 GC Grebe and 17 Mute Swan were counted. 2 Stonechat were off the west track, also 25 Siskin.
