BELVIDE Fair SSE 2-3

 Migration is picking up pace, with plenty to see today. A pair of Avocet on the north shore were the first of the year. Also 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Ringed Plover, 5 LRP, 2 Dunlin, 4 Common Sandpiper and 1 Redshank were present. 3 Wheatear were off the west track, also 6 White Wagtail (photo). A masle Brambling was showing well at the woodland feeders. 4 Goshawk were in the area with a pair of juvenile male and female over the west end (photo). Also 2 Red Kite were noted. 90+ Sand Martin and 3 Swallow flew thru. 2 Willow Warbler were singing. 11 Shelduck were counted. The first Holly Blue, Orange Tip and Green-veined White butterflies were noted.
